About the Role We are looking for a gifted Technical Writer for a 12-month contract. Your primary mission will be to take highly complex technical data, engineering concepts, and regulatory frameworks, and translate them into crystal-clear, plain-language documentation for stakeholders and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate highly technical, engineering, and energy sector information into engaging, easily understood plain-language documents.
- Produce high-quality technical reports, guidelines, executive summaries, and stakeholder documentation.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and policy experts to gather accurate information.
- Maintain rigorous quality control, ensuring exceptional attention to detail across all written deliverables.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer, ideally within a technical, infrastructure, or government setting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for clarifying complex concepts.
- Meticulous attention to detail and proofreading standards.
- A Degree in Engineering or another technical discipline is essential.
- Prior knowledge of the energy industry and/or electricity transmission is highly advantageous.
